DST use their experience as consultants and practitioners in the education sector to support learning, teaching, and assessment as well evaluating and developing all aspects of quality assurance We have helped providers to develop the curriculum and worked with organisations and to identify and support their specialist needs.
We have designed delivery models to ensure that trainers can set appropriate targets for their apprentices; we look at strategic and operational requirements and assist in fixing any systemic issues. We advise on performance and budgeting. We can support development and change whilst presenting our ideas and solutions in an effective way.
We understand how to work with tutors, trainers, leaders and organisations and always work to a professional code of ethics and remain impartial.
- Development of colleges and training providers’ capacity to deliver work based learning; especially with the development of apprenticeship standards and higher level apprenticeships.
- Conducting market research including business development and working with teams to capacity build and understand LMI
- Supporting colleges and private training providers to implement apprenticeship programmes and how to promote and market these programmes across all sectors
- Reappraisals of the organisational and training needs to account for the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy; where necessary assisting in the realignment of policies and procedures and the building of internal capacity.
- Supporting the submission of applications on behalf of clients to the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers
- Review and development of internal quality assurance policies and procedures
- Review and development of internal quality assurance policies and procedures
- Preparation for first inspections and full inspections for training providers and support during an OfSTED inspection
- Recovery projects on behalf of clients, e.g. recovering previously poorly delivered apprenticeship programmes
- Offering interim management where posts have not been filled including carrying out the IQA role to support current programmes where capacity is lacking in house
- Working with Multi Academy Trusts to maximise Levy
- Quality Assurance of sub-contractors for providers
- Carrying out investigative work and recommending smarter approaches to delivery of programmes whilst supporting providers on how to manage data
- Carrying out a mystery shopper role and evaluation of study tours nationally and internationally
